End-of-life doulas provide companionship, comfort, and guidance to those facing a terminal illness or death. Our non-medical holistic support encompasses emotional, spiritual, and practical care. We offer resources to help the dying person, along with their family and loved ones, make informed decisions in a supportive environment.
Advance care planning (ACP) is the process that supports individuals in understanding and sharing their personal values, goals, and preferences about future medical care. During this process, I foster meaningful and effective conversations about healthcare wishes with individuals and families including help with advance directive documents.
Two 60 minute sessions
Life reflections is a process of reflecting on and sharing the significant moments, memories, and experiences of one's life.
Vigil planning involves creating a comforting and meaningful experience for the individual and their loved ones to gather, reflect, and find comfort during the end-of-life journey during this significant time.
Four 60 minute sessions
Package includes Life Reflections, Vigil Planning, and in addition, Legacy or Remembrance projects.
Legacy Projects are meaningful actions that individuals undertake to leave a lasting impact and preserve their values, wisdom, or memories for future generations. Examples include scrapbooks, letters, and more.
Six 60 minute sessions
I offer respite services to provide temporary relief and support to allow primary caregivers to take time for self-care, attend to personal responsibilities, or simply have a much needed break. Respite support can be customized to meet unique needs.
During this time, my focus is to hold space for the kind of experience the dying person and their loved ones have envisioned. That includes helping everyone maintain the spirit of the plan that was worked out during the vigil planning phase.
I help loved ones, after the death, to review and process the feelings and experiences they had during throughout the end. I will help explain the nature of grief and guide loved ones through the early days of the grief process.
I believe that all members of our community, regardless of financial well-being, should have access to quality end-of-life services. I offer discounts based upon need and would be happy to discuss your specific circumstances during our initial consultation.
