Every life has a story worth telling. Preserving Life Stories is a guided interview experience where I sit down with your loved one — in person or remotely — and ask the questions that draw out the memories, wisdom, and moments that shaped who they are. The conversation is recorded, so the story survives in their actual voice, not just on paper.
The gift isn't the journal — it's asking someone to share their story. Preserving Life Stories takes that a step further: instead of writing, your loved one talks, and I guide the conversation with thoughtful prompts about their childhood, family, turning points, and the lessons they want to pass on. The result is a recorded story session your family can listen to for generations.
Who This is For
Preserving Life Stories is for adult children who want to hear their parents' voice again, long after they're gone. For grandparents who have stories no one's ever asked about. For families facing a hospice or palliative diagnosis who want to capture what matters most while there's still time. And for anyone who simply wants to leave something behind — a voice, a laugh, a story — for the people who'll come after them.

We talk about who the story is for, what you hope to capture, and whether this is a single conversation or a fuller life story.
I guide a relaxed, recorded conversation using thoughtful prompts — in person, over video, or by phone. Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes.
I clean up the audio and organize it into a listenable story, removing dead air and organizing by theme or chronology if requested.
You receive the final recording on an SD card (and transcript, if selected) — ready to share with family or pair with a keepsake journal.
Multiple sessions covering childhood, family, career, love, loss, and legacy — a complete narrative arc of a life,
Interviews with multiple family members (parents, grandparents, siblings) to build a fuller picture of a shared family history.
Sessions paced for individuals in hospice or declining health, done gently and at their speed.
